From traditional volunteering…
Help at the Office
JDRF chapters welcome office volunteers with skills in data entry, organization, graphic design, writing/editing, mailings and the million and one tasks it takes to fundraise for the cure.
Work an Event
Each year JDRF needs a virtual army of volunteers to make our events truly special and our walks a celebration of grassroots fundraising. Whether you register guests at a gala, pass out t-shirts at a walk, help set up a silent auction, or greet golfers with hats and jackets, your one day of service can help make a huge stride in our fight to cure T1D.
Serve on a Committee
Most of our “behind the scenes” work is accomplished by folks who can commit additional time and resources to organize events and walks. We need leaders to head up committees for areas such as auction procurement, sponsorship, logistics, and planning. We also form committees that work in specific areas of Marketing & Communications, Corporate Development, and Research Information Volunteers.
Outreach is a critical program at JDRF, helping to connect newly diagnosed individuals and families with support and information on life with T1D. From the Online Diabetes Support Team to family mentoring programs and community health fairs, outreach volunteers share both information and hope in our local communities.
Young Leadership Committee
The Young Leadership Committee is a group of young professionals dedicated to raising funds and awareness for JDRF with events that are dynamic, energetic, and fun. The committee hosts various fundraising, networking, and social events that attract hundreds of young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40–with and without T1D.
