Draper Dayton, Chris Tapio, Molly Weber

JDRF Northern CA Inland Chapter is honored to welcome three new members to our talented team of committed leaders! These individuals joined the Chapter Board of Directors on July 1, with the goal of supporting the regional T1D community and advancing essential diabetes research. We are proud to introduce Draper Dayton, Chris Tapio, and Molly Weber.

Draper Dayton has participated in many JDRF events over the past few years.Ā  He initially became involved with the organization to support his wife Shannon, who has T1D. He sought an opportunity to increase his level of involvement by joining the Board of Directors and working toward the larger goal of curing T1D. Draper is inspired by his wife and 3-year-old daughter Stella, and he looks forward to collaborating with a group of committed community leaders. He owns a small business CaliClips, Inc. that keeps him busy.Ā  In his spare time, Draper enjoys snowboarding, deep-sea fishing, and SCUBA diving.

Chris Tapio recently became involved with JDRF after his son was diagnosed with T1D last fall. As a public affairs and political consultant at Townsend Calkin Tapio Public Affairs, he has extensive experience working toward community objectives and has used these skills to raise awareness of T1D in local and state government. He regularly represents the T1D community in the State Capitol, working to secure essential governmental support.Ā  He now hopes to continue this advocacy by joining the Board of Directors. Chris enjoys jogging, attending concerts, and cheering for his kids at their baseball and water polo games.

Molly Weber comes to JDRF in support of her 11-year-old son who was diagnosed with T1D in 2014. A co-founder of The Urban Hive with husband Brandon, a co-working space in Sacramento, she brings valuable expertise in design, marketing and community outreach.Ā  Molly focuses on ā€œcollaboration, innovation, and growthā€ in order to create a supportive network of clients, workers, and visitors. She plans to promote the same synergistic spirit within the Board of Directors, applying her skilled leadership to the world of T1D advocacy. In her spare time, Molly enjoys spending time with family and volunteering at her church.

We thank Draper, Chris and Molly for sharing their passionate commitment with JDRF!
